TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. AGREEMENT

    1. The terms and conditions of this document comprise the agreement between SCI Miramax the Lead Booker, who is responsible for all other guests.

  2. BOOKING & DEPOSIT

    1. All bookings shall be paid for in Euros by bank transfer (any costs to be incurred by the Lead Booker)

    2. Bookings must be made on a whole chalet basis, and therefore cannot be part-booked.

    3. Once availability has been confirmed by SCI Miramax, a booking will be held for three days, pending receipt of the 30% deposit by bank transfer in Euros and the completed Booking Form.

    4. Thereafter, if no deposit has been received the booking will be deemed cancelled and SCI Miramax reserves the right to re-book the week without notification.

    5. The total amount outstanding must be paid no later than six weeks before the arrival date, therefore if you have booked within this limit the full balance will be payable. Balances can be paid by bank transfer.

    6. The Lead Booker shall be responsible for all monies outstanding from the remainder of the guests.

    7. For all bookings, a €2,000 damages deposit shall be required, also payable a minimum of six weeks prior to the arrival date.

  3. REFUND – CANCELLATION BY SCI MIRAMAX

    1. If through circumstances beyond our control SCI Miramax is forced to cancel your holiday a full refund is payable. This does not include events amounting to Force Majeure (Force Majeure meaning war, political unrest, weather, strikes, acts of God, pandemics, epidemics, riots, civil strife, industrial disputes, terrorist activity, natural or technical disasters).

  4. REFUND – CANCELLATION BY LEAD BOOKER

    1. The Lead Booker may cancel the booking at any time in writing, according to the terms below.

    2. Deposits are fully refundable until the 31st August 2020.

    3. If a cancellation made between four to eight weeks prior to the arrival date, SCI Miramax will refund 40% of the total booking cost.

    4. If a cancellation made less than four weeks before the arrival date, there shall be no refund.

    5. If a cancellation is made in line with Clause 5, SCI Miramax will refund 50% of the total booking cost.

  5. COVID-19 / CORONAVIRUS CANCELLATION POLICY

    1. Cancellation was necessary due to government enforced closure of the ski resort.

    2. Unofficial reasoning, such as fear of catching the virus, will not be considered.

    3. Cancellation, as one of the party has COVID-19, will not be considered unless government restrictions, which close the resort, are in place.

  6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

    1. SCI Miramax’s liability is limited to the invoiced holiday cost and under no circumstances extends to the additional costs incurred by guests in taking the holiday such as pre-booked services, tuition or ski passes.

    2. The Lead Booker is liable for any damages caused by the negligence of any fellow guests residing in the chalet, or additional guests invited to visit the chalet.

  7. RESPONSIBILITY & BEHAVIOUR

    1. All guests should act and behave in such a manner as to not affect or disrupt the enjoyment of other guests, the local residents or have a negative effect on the reputation of Chalet Valpierre and SCI Miramax.

    2. Any guest that is in breach of the terms and conditions may have their stay in the chalet terminated immediately, as well as SCI Miramax’s responsibility to them.

  8. THIRD PARTY ACTIVITIES

    1. SCI Miramax can assist in sourcing and booking many of the extra services you need when on a winter holiday, these services are subject to the terms and conditions of the individual companies, our help does not constitute an approval, and we take no responsibility or liability for the service.

    2. Any grievance with a third party service should be taken up with the provider and client directly.

  9. LOST & STOLEN PROPERTY

    1. In the event that guests lose or leave items in the chalet, no responsibility will be accepted by SCI Miramax if the property is not recovered or returned.

    2. SCI Miramax cannot accept any responsibility for theft either from the chalet or at any other time during your holiday.

    3. Any client, not properly securing the exits and windows after leaving the chalet, will be liable to any property taken as a result of that negligence.

  10. ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE TIMES

    1. The chalets will be available to incoming guests after 4pm on day of arrival, although we will endeavour to have the chalet ready earlier only if previously requested for and agreed by SCI Miramax.

    2. The chalet must be vacated on the day of departure by 10am.

  11. SMOKING

    1. For health and safety reasons smoking is strictly prohibited within the chalets.

  12. CHILDREN

    1. No matter how much care is taken skiing chalets are not child proof. We will not be held responsible for any accidents occurring within the chalets, it is the parent’s responsibility to ensure their children are supervised at all times.

  13. DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

    1. Guests must inform SCI Miramax of any special dietary requirements a minimum of two weeks prior to the arrival date.

  14. PRIVACY POLICY & GDPR

    1. The personal data you provide is held on a secured hard drive that we use to deliver the accommodation and services outlined on this website, as well as any contact required following your visit to Chalet Valpierre.

    2. We do not share your information with any external companies.
